Ultra-C compiler updates? posted by admin

March 12, 2002 12:46:50 AM -- Microware Software's Ultra-C compiler has a few new enhancements that are part of the 3.2 release (which is out for MIPS32, IXP1200 and maybe some other processors). One big one is an option to let it parse the "ANSI illegal" C++ style comments ("//") in normal C code. This should make porting code to OS-9 a bit easier (even though a simple search/replace in Hawk could change that for you automatically -- there is an app note about this on Microware's site). The other interesting change is the apparent support of "long long" on processors that do not have 64-bit support. Again, something good for porting. More updates when I hear them...
